"You either die a hero, or you live long enough to become the villain."

Saw "The Dark Knight" with my best friend on opening day. Almost didn't because all the shows were sold-out except for the 10:45pm one, and we looked at each other and said "WE'LL TAKE WHATEVER YOU HAVE!!!" That was at 6:30pm. After immediately buying our tickets, we went out and browsed the shops and ate. After we came back, there was a line, but thankfully, we were very near the top. Had awesome seats.

My feelings after watching can be described as such: "Oh my god, it's as if I just met Jesus in person."

Yeah. It was that fucking fantastic. I think the English language should have a new word to describe this movie.

Check this out, cuz he couldn't have gotten it more right.

I swear, Christian Bale and Heath Ledger are Batman and Joker personified. Especially Heath. I wish he hadn't died, because I can't stand the thought of anyone else playing the Joker...

Got home at like, 2am (my parents picked us up!) but it was very much worth it.
Didn't feel so nice when I had to wake up at 8am though..... not with five hours of sleep on my back.
Went to a friend's house, spent most of the day downtown, then went to another friend's house for a sleepover. We watched the X-Files.

On a side note: my best friend and I are taking bets to see who will be in the sequel. I really want to see a female villain like Cat Woman or Poison Ivy. That would be so hot.

MR. FREEEEEEEZE!!!

EDIT: Sorry guys but I'm not very coherent or explicit because: A) no spoilers; B) no amount of writing/ranting/flailing can equal the epic that is "Dark Knight".

Seriously I definitely want to see this movie like madnessssssssssssssss but I am having a hard time believing it's teh greatest movie ever made ever. Is it really??? Cuz seeing Jesus in person is pretty big. :D

I'd wanna see Poison Ivy. I like Catwoman too but Ivy's coooollll.

BTW, I need to send you Brainy without the watermark...SOOON

And while you're at it, also read my fanfic! [link]
You'll understand when you see it. I would have cried at the end at the sheer amazement, but I was afraid I'd look like an idiot. Seriously, I could have bawled. Then Simon would have made fun of me later...
I said the Jesus thing because I got this feeling almost describable as Nirvana during/after seeing the movie. I MIGHT be exagerating (but only by a little).

Considering the dark theme of the movies, there may not be a Catwoman, but then again, considering the realism of these films, I also doubt a Poison Ivy or a Mr. Freeze. HOWEVER, it would be awesome to see the writers come up with an explanation of their powers, and to see the director work it into the Batman storyline. I'll tell you one thing though: there is NO WAY Harley could be in the films. Not with this Joker.

BTW, yes you do. And did you read/reply to my comment? I don't remember if you did.

That top line was my favorite from the movie.

I've always wanted Harley Quinn to be in one of the movies but they'd never use her without Joker, but my vote for the next villain would be for Poison Ivy.

I don't have a problem with canon, non-canon, straight, gay or any other of that nonsense. I have a problem with incest but as long as it isn't real life & it is drawn well I will pretend that they're not related for the sake of a job well done. Love wins
That line made the movie.

I'd also love to see her, but my friend and I think this Joker is much too dark, and just not the kind of villain to have a side-kick (as it were). I don't see this joker as being capable of forming a "bond" with anyone, especially not with anyone calling him "Puddin'" all the time. xD

Poison Ivy is definitely high on my guess-list.

Well in the comics Harley was never Joker's sidekick. After he used her to escape the nut house he basicaly tried to kill her and she continued to be a villain on her own. The whole her being his sidekick was original to the cartoons, though I do love the whole ';puddin' pet name. :giggle:

I must admit, I haven't actually read many comics (maybe 2-3), so I don't know, but my point stands in that there is little to no chance of there being a Harley in the next films.

I like Harley and Ivy working together. They're a fun duo. :D
